Together We Can Make a Difference
An in-person social network for caregivers by caregivers

In February we will be launching our Caregiver Connection Groups!

These groups will meet twice a month, starting the week of February 11th, at the libraries in Stratford and Brussels, and give caregivers an opportunity to connect with other caregivers. Come as you are for a coffee, snack and conversation!

For more information call Huron Perth Community Support Services Network at 1-844-428-4800.

Connecting the Dots for Caregivers recently invited organizations across Huron Perth to make a commitment to supporting caregivers by using the Time to Talk Toolkit.

The toolkit, which was created by family caregivers and healthcare and service providers, uses an e-learning module, posters, a resource brochure, and helpful conversation tips to raise awareness of the role family caregivers play and help support critical conversations between providers and family caregivers

Thank you to the twenty-eight organizations and many caregivers that joined attended our information events.

If your organization would like to implement the Time to Talk Toolkit, click here to Request Your Time to Talk Toolkit.

The toolkit is easy to use and healthcare and service provider agencies who are already using it say it’s making a difference.

If you are a caregiver, please click here to open the Time to Talk brochure

This brochure is also available through the Connecting the Dots project partners and a number of healthcare and service organizations in Huron and Perth.

A caregiver is a family member, friend, or neighbour who provides personal, social, psychological and physical support, assistance
and care for a family member or friend in need.

The role is 24-hours, seven days a week and it is known to have far reaching impacts on a caregiver’s physical and mental health, their ability to work, their personal finances and their
relationships with family and friends.

Caregivers are tired and frustrated. Caregivers need our help.
