Research has found that regular physical activity appears as effective as psychotherapy for treating mild to moderate depression. Therapists also report that patients who exercise regularly simply feel better and are less likely to overeat or abuse alcohol and drugs. Source: CMHA

South Lobby Main Entrance of Stratford General Hospital Temporarily Closed

February 5, 2019

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance is advising the public that the South Lobby Main Entrance at their Stratford General Hospital site will be closed effective February 6, 2019 at 8:00 am until further notice. This is due to a flood caused by a burst sprinkler line. The South Lobby Main Entrance is also known as the Courtyard Entrance, located off West Gore St and accessible from Parking Lot E.

Patients and visitors are asked to use the following entrances during the duration of this closure:

  • Patients attending appointments in the East Building, such as Imaging (X-ray, Ultrasound and CT Scan), Surgical Services or Breastfeeding Clinics should use the North Lobby Main Entrance, off Cambria St. Family and visitors would also use this entrance when visiting a patient on any of our patient care units. Parking is available in Lot A.
  • Patients scheduled for the following outpatient appointments between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, should use the West Building Entrance, off West Gore St., as per usual. Quick drop off is available under the canopy and parking is available in Lot E.
