Your blood type determines who you can donate to, or receive blood from. People with type O negative (O-) are considered universal donors, as they can donate red blood cells to all other blood type recipients. Staff on your patient care unit meet regularly to discuss ways to improve our processes. These meetings are called huddles.

Patients and their families are welcome to participate at the huddle or to share ideas for improvements with members of the health care team.
